Philippe AUZAS

Member of the Paris Bar since 1991 and founding partner of BONNA AUZAS ASSOCIES, Philippe AUZAS received a Master's degree (D.E.S.) in law from the University of Panthéon Sorbonne (1969) and graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po, 1970). Philippe AUZAS started its career as Financial Controller of the subsidiaries of the French Atomic Energy Commission (Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique, 1972-1975) in Denver and in Montreal. He then held several positions with the Compagnie Générale de Géophysique, as Controller of US Operations (1977-1982), Director of the Non-Exclusive Studies Department (1983-1986), in Denver and Houston, and finally as General Counsel (Paris, 1986-1990). Partner in several law firms from 1991 to 1999 and co-founder of Grand Auzas & Associés law firm in 1999, Philippe AUZAS has developed a significant expertise and know-how in assisting foreign companies operating in France, with a team of lawyers focusing on cross-borders legal issues intervening on a large range of fields (advice to oil and gas companies, assistance in the negotiation of international investments, drafting of contracts) and geographic areas (the United States, Europe, Africa). He is a member of the French Institute of International Legal Experts (Institut Français d’Experts Juridiques Internationaux - IFEJI) as well as of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). He also teaches in international seminars and as lecturer in the tax and business law Master's degree of Paris 2 University. Languages: French, English.
